The Hemlocks are a region of terrain at Mammoth Mountain accessible only by a hike from the top of Chair 14. It is rated as a double black diamond due to the steepness of the terrain. It is also a remote area of the mountain requiring a number of lifts and traverses to get there. This also means that the Hemlocks are the last area of the mountain to preserve fresh tracks.

Signs to Hemlocks point you the way from the top of Chair 14
The trail begins with the blue runs "Road Runner" and "Santiago" past the first half of "Santiago Bowl"
Going past the second half of "Santiago Bowl" requires an uphill hike
The hike ends at the peak of Hemlocks. Now it is a matter of choosing your line down
