Taos Ski Valley New Mexico (US)

Taos Ski Valley is located one half hour from the town of Taos New Mexico which itself, is 135 miles from the closest International airport in Albuquerque New Mexico. Flights to Albuquerque are numerous from all over the US. Limited commercial service is also available from the Santa Fe Municipal Airport which is only 70 miles away. Non-stop service to Sante Fe is available from Dallas/Ft. Worth (DFW) and Los Angeles (LAX) via American Airlines and from Denver (DEN) on United Airlines. The interesting and scenic drive is loaded with nature's beauty including Palisades Sill shown above (about an hour from the town of Taos on hwy 64). If driving from Albuquerque, one may want to briefly stop in Sante Fe to check out the regional art shops as the local art is unique to the Southwest United States and the Pueblo Native American Indian culture.

Parking:

Taos provides multiple parking lots near the base of the mountain with shuttle bus access. The lots are names after animals to make it easy to remember where one parked.
